Society of Beggars latest single 'Lick' is a poetic, dream-like ballad that tells a story of the journey within, the journey to get back home. Mournful and delicate, this new release signals a powerful new chapter in the band’s history.

Keeping the spirit of the great poets alive, 'Lick' is a song that is steeped in memory – a dark ballad that is both acerbic and hopeful, romantic, and strong. With a booming vocal, stripped back guitars & a muted kick drum, Society of Beggars have produced a song that sounds like a nightmare dreamscape, a lullaby for rock lovers.

Staying true to their Rock & Roll roots, Society of Beggars continue to show off their classic song writing chops. Based in Melbourne, Society of Beggars are a unique voice in the music scene and are primed to share this brand-new track with the world. The new release is complimented by a moody, dream-like video-clip directed by Bridget Mackey, that conjures up images of a Fellini film while still packing an emotional gut-punch, all in black and white. 

With 'Lick', Society of Beggars have mined the depths of their shared experiences, producing their most accessible, heartfelt track yet. 'Lick' is a hopeful and powerful song about having the strength to let go and a brilliant new chapter of the Society of Beggars story.
